Do you support people who may lack capacity to make decisions about their lives? If so you need to understand the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Free Training for providers who are supporting vulnerable adults in North Yorkshire.
The aim is to ensure that staff and volunteers have the skills they need to act in the best interests of those they support and to protect themselves by acting in accordance with the law. Given the complex nature of this area of work and the need for clear, accurate recording of decisions it would be extremely beneficial for providers to take advantage of the training on offer to help staff understand what is required of them.
